Our beloved brother, Barry Billingsley, was born on December 2, 1957, to Frank and Sterling Gloria Billingsley in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He departed this life on January 13, 2025. Barry graduated from Brashear High School, where he developed a love for sports, particularly softball and football. He also enjoyed fishing and horseback riding with his family. After high school, he began working as a professional welder at Designers Forge. His ambition led him to further his education at Rosedale Tech, where he became a certified electrician. Together with his brother Frank, Barry founded 4 Stall Construction LLC. He was known for taking on electrical jobs that others would refuse due to their complexity or because customers were unable to pay. For Barry, customer safety and well-being always came first. Barry will be remembered for his big smile, silly jokes, and unwavering kindness. He was well-mannered, generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He leaves behind five siblings: Karen Billingsley-Lindsey, Frank Billingsley Jr., Lloyd Gregory Billingsley, Cathie Billingsley, and Sadie Billingsley. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Juan Billingsley, Tamara Lindsey, Seantaia L. Billingsley, Kennedy V. Billingsley, and Levi L. Billingsley; his aunt, Sheila Robinson-Finch; his uncle, Reverend Marcus Robinson Sr.; and a host of cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Throughout his life, Barry was a father figure to two children he loved as his own, Salina and Carlos. His big heart, generous spirit, and sense of humor touched everyone he met. No job was too hard for Barry, and his selflessness changed countless lives. Barry accepted the Lord in Verona, Pennsylvania, and was baptized by his uncle, Reverend BJ Scruggs. In this moment of loss, we are reminded of the comforting words of John 14:2-6: "In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." Barry has made it to that place prepared for him. His legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
