Kelley Hollis

Kelley D. Hollis affectionally known to her favorite girls as “Bum Bum” was born to the late Lawrence Davis, Sr. & Ernestine Davis. She is preceded in death by her father, and maternal aunt, Adrian Hollis. Kelly is survived by her brothers Joel Hollis & Lawrence Davis, Jr.; sister Gale Davis; nieces, Joelle Hollis and Tenay Davis; nephews Kristopher Hollis, and Lawrence Davis, III; great nieces Lyric Bose, Justice Burton, De’Sharae White, and Tenaja Davis; cousins Dion Thomas, Ashley Hollis, Todd Hollis and Troy Hollis. Kelley was a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies following her graduation from Pittsburgh Public School’s Taylor Allerdice. Pursuing her love for peace for people in need and enjoyment of community outreach, Kelley served as a Community Relations Coordinator for the Pearl Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from October 2015 until her transition from this life. Kelley was blessed with a small close knit maternal immediate family. She was supportive, empathetic & compassionate. She played a special role in the life of Joelle, Ashley, Lyric & Justice. A bond that couldn’t be explained but a love that will never be forgotten. She had long standing relationships with her “Day 1’s “ stories that she repeated over and over and laughed each time. She was loyal, dependable, and dedicated to anything and anyone she committed herself to. She enjoyed Facebook bingo, gossiping with family, sipping wine, and attending church or work-related seminars and volunteer events. She was proud to be from Glen Hazel and served as a member of the Glen Hazel Reunion Committee. Kelley was concerned, as she would say “I keep my ear to the street but stay out of them.” Kelley was a God-fearing woman, who competed studies in Christian Ministry at Geneva College’s Center for Urban Biblical Ministry. She was an active member in good standing at Morning Star Baptist Church in Clairton, PA under the leadership of Rev. Richard White. Kelley regularly attended Sunday School and served as the secretary of the Women’s Ministry. On July 24, 2022, Kelley departed this earthly life to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ in her heavenly home and was welcomed by both family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her memories will last forever.
