Eugene Jones Jr Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Eugene Jones Jr. was born on May 25, 1944 to the late Eugene Jones Sr. & Leana Jones of Pittsburgh,PA. He departed this life on May 4th, 2022. Eugene Jones Jr. met and married Willeen E. Robinson on June 18th, 1975. They were blessed with three children Tracey L. Ford, Jeffrey Jones and Eugene Jones III.. Eugene Jones Jr. accepted Christ and was baptized June 1st, 1980 at St. Mark A.M.E. Church, Wilkinsburg, PA by the late Rev. Charles W. Buckner. He stayed a member for many years and sang in the male choir and was well known for his high tenor voice!!! He graduated from Fifth Avenue High School in Pittsburgh, PA. He won many awards & certificates for his athletic ability in track & basketball. He earned the right to wear the Fifth Avenue High School emblem. After high school, Eugene enlisted in the Air Force where he served 4 years. Eugene attended Connelly Vocational School and took up carpentry and graduated first in his class. He was offered a job to help build the US Steel building in downtown Pittsburgh. Eugene did not like heights so instead, he worked for the Post Office for 38 years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed his family, spending time playing & cheating at Monopoly as the banker. Everyone knew him as “Bay Bro” “Lewy” and “Bay Brother”. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Willeen Jones, one daughter Tracey L. Ford, two sons Jeffrey L. Jones & Eugene Jones III, and 9 grandchildren; Anthony L (Rachael) Thomas-Belk, Kortney L. Jones, Jeffrey L. Jones, Sharae (Dove) Prince, Jamal K. Jones, Oran (Mini) Ford, Harris-Ford and a host of great grandchildren. Three sisters, two brothers, two grandsons Ryan Jones & Bradford proceeded him in death.
