Barry S Twyman

Barry S. Twyman of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania passed away October 15, 2019 after losing his battle to pancreatic cancer. He was born January 24, 1950 and was raised in West Mifflin, PA. As a young man, he attended West Mifflin High School then continued his education at the Dean Institute of Technology. Barry was very smart and a real perfectionist when it came to his work. Many of you don't know that he supported his family by working several years with Westinghouse and then obtained another position with the Nabisco Company before he retired. After retirement he worked as a mechanic and then owned his own detail car wash located in Homestead, PA. To describe Barry's personality he was such a sensitive yet quiet man. However, if you spoke about something he liked he would talk your ear off. One of the many things he enjoyed was to watch NASCAR races, boxing, but as a hobby, he built cars, planes and helicopters. He loved to work with his hands and was a true jack of all trades. If you needed help with your car, plumbing, furnace, electrical work he was your guy. In his spare time, Barry loved to shop at various hobby shops to build the next best model car, plane or helicopter. As a father he loved for the family to be around him, seeing his children grow up, but, never wanted his kids to grow up and leave home. He once said he wished we could all live in the same house together along with the grandkids. When you think of Barry, what most people didn't know is he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. As nice as he was he was he was also the most gullible person. However, he was able to stay on track with the help of his wife and mother. He had a warm heart and was full of jokes when it came to his loved ones. Barry's favorite way of describing himself is that he was as drug store cotton. Barry is survived by his wife Karen Davis, mother Arnetta Hall, his sibling Velina Glassand several aunts and uncles. He leaves behind 3 children; Felecia Buford, Syreeta Gordon and Tarence Davis. He also had 7 granddchildren from oldest to youngest; Nylia David, Ihmani Buford, Jayda Buford, Kiara Buford, DeAndre Gordon, Baubi Buggs, and Zoe Gordon.
